Why a real Christmas Tree?
The benefits of a real
Christmas tree
-
Sustainable for the environment - It takes the trees between 5 and 7 years to grow to cutting size. In those years the Christmas trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the environment which helps to slow climate change. A real Christmas tree has a much lower carbon footprint than an artificial one.
-
Artificial trees are often produced in overseas factories from plastics and synthetics in contrast to a real tree produced locally from sunlight, rainfall and soil.
-
Real trees planted like a crop, provide wildlife habitat, air filtration and prevent soil erosion as once harvested are replaced by another tree whereas artificial trees last for centuries in a landfill.
-
A fresh tree is recyclable and biodegradable.
